Where to install a roof crossover bridge platform?

A crossover bridge platform makes it possible to safely cross gas pipes, electrical cables, HVAC ducts, low walls and other industrial equipment. A crossover bridge platform will also make navigation between the different roof levels safer and protect your equipment from accidental damage.

Crossover Bridge Platform for Obstacle on a Single Roof Level

Going over obstacles is much more productive than around. It’s also safer to walk on a platform than attempt to jump over the obstacle. Our modular roof crossover platform design can adapt to most roof obstacles. For example, a simple 24” high by 40” long roof crossover platform as pictured above will make circulation around gas line or low parapet wall much easier and safer.

Crossover Bridge Platform for Different Roof Levels

If the goal is the creation a safe pathway between two roof levels, our non-penetrating crossover platform will be ideal. Safer to use than a ladder and much simpler to deploy, our crossover bridge platform system can adapt to height differences of up to 60”. Our system uses ballasted base to increase stability.

Platforms or runways exceeding 4 feet in height require guardrails; OSHA prohibits substitutes such as chains. Crossover platforms must match stair width and not exceed 30 inches in depth.
