Arrangement of Various Products
For this project, our team implemented a comprehensive solution to secure all critical zones of the roof, which included an impressive total of 17 distinct sections. Every potentially hazardous element for workers was rigorously assessed and secured, particularly with the installation of over 585 linear feet of guardrails. This protection system serves as the first line of defence against fall risks. To meet the specific demands of this project, additional Delta Prevention solutions were also integrated, including two guardrail systems for access hatches—one standard and one oversized—demonstrating our products’ adaptability to our clients’ unique requirements.
To further enhance the safety and practicality of roof access, we installed two crossover walkways. These enable workers to cross over obstacles like pipes without difficulty or risk. By eliminating the need to step over or navigate around these obstacles, we have significantly reduced the risk of falls and injuries. Additionally, a ladder exit guardrail system was added for extra safety. This system, featuring a VSS Classic guardrail and gate, secures the entry and exit to the ladder by automatically closing off this potentially hazardous area.

An Example of System Customization
This project again showcased the flexibility of our products and extensive customization options. For example, a VSS Compact guardrail system generally ends with a 5-foot return to ensure system integrity and meet standards. However, due to specific roof characteristics, our team customized the system to meet the client’s needs while maintaining optimal safety. As illustrated in one of the images, there was limited roof space to complete the VSS Compact system with the standard 5-foot return. Therefore, we adapted the end of the system with VSS Classic guardrail legs. This solution demonstrates our systems’ ability to combine elements to fit the available space while ensuring complete safety.
Delivery, a Key Factor
Given the large roof area, we divided the project into four distinct delivery zones to facilitate planning and execution. Each zone was identified, allowing our internal team to prepare orders specifically for these zones. This organization allows installers to have clearly labelled and grouped materials for each zone, simplifying their work and enhancing efficiency during installation. Although this process requires extra time, we are fully dedicated to easing our distributors’ tasks. We believe this delivery approach is the best for all project stakeholders.
